These are books which I would consider essential reading for anyone considering going into small scale commercial vegetable production.
Eliot Coleman – The New Organic Grower
I like to call this book the bible. Eliot Coleman started growing commercially with no previous experience and became a leader of the organic movement in the US. This book will be an inspiration to anyone going into organic vegetable farming, he shows that it is possible to achieve a lot on a small scale.
He has two other books also; Four-Season Harvest and The Winter Harvest Handbook.
